Cleco’s engineering, sales, and service teams responded swiftly to the needs of the OEM, supplying CellClutch tools for testing along with a tailored solution built around their unique plant requirements. Collaborating closely with the customer, Cleco developed a custom model that met the plant’s required torque accuracy for functional joints. The solution offered excellent fastening precision, smart programmability, and an ergonomic design that reduced operator fatigue. After passing all internal qualification tests where other competitive tools fell short, the CellClutch tool was rapidly deployed on the assembly line with strong operator feedback.

 

The successful rollout has led to broader discussions about standardizing Cleco’s platform across additional production lines and torque ranges, including safety-crticial joint applications with tight tolerances. With high-torque models already qualified and the customer initiating trials for other CellClutch variants, the partnership continues to deepen.
